Valbridge Property Advisors | Inland Pacific Northwest is part of a nationwide commercial property valuation firm with 74 offices. Valbridge | Inland Pacific Northwest continues to be one of the largest appraisal organizations in the Inland Northwest, with offices in Spokane Valley & Kennewick, WA; and Coeur d'Alene, ID. As a leader in the field of commercial real estate appraisal, Valbridge | Inland Pacific Northwest presents challenging opportunities for leading-edge professionals.

Valbridge | Inland Pacific Northwest has an immediate opening for a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. The Certified General Real Estate Appraiser position provides an excellent opportunity for experience and potential advancement within the commercial appraisal industry.

Real property appraisers are researchers, problem solvers, and communicators. In the course of a typical assignment, the appraiser will inspect the "subject property" to determine its physical characteristics. The appraiser then analyzes the physical, economic, and legal characteristics of the property and the market in which it competes, using available published data and data developed from original research. The product of the appraisal analysis is typically a narrative appraisal report, generated with the assistance of specialized software based on Word and Excel. The appraisal process requires contact with property owners, buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, brokers, government officials, attorneys, accountants, and other professionals.

Appraisers have advanced knowledge about real estate economics, markets and marketing, cost and development. Successful appraisers are curious self-starters who enjoy solving problems. Accuracy, consistency, and good communication skills are requirements.

Applicants must be detail oriented, analytical, and extremely organized. The position requires excellent communication skills, above-average math and writing skills, a professional demeanor, good telephone etiquette, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong computer skills are a must.

This position is full-time and does require a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license. The right candidate will be highly motivated to succeed in the Commercial Real Estate Appraisal field. We encourage our professionals to reach beyond state certification to earn the MAI Designation of the Appraisal Institute; 10 of our 13 appraisers have earned this professional designation.

If you are interested in applying, please send your resume and cover letter explaining your interest in the commercial real estate appraisal field and include what you have done to prepare yourself for the position. Please send to the attention of our Executive Administrative Manager, Keri Copley at kcopley@valbridge.com
