The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is reopening our List of Approved Appraisers, and we encourage eligible appraisers to apply for inclusion on the list. The DNR oversees more than 5,000,000 acres of state-owned land, and we frequently have need to hire qualified appraisers. A new Request for Qualifications (RFQ) has been posted on Washington’s Electric Business Solution web site (WEBS), and I hope interested parties will review the RFQ and consider us.
The solicitation for DNR’s List of Approved Appraisers has been posted to WEBS.

We encourage real property appraisers with a Washington Certified General License to apply. In addition, DNR is interested in special qualifications and designations, including the MAI and AI-GRS designations from the Appraisal Institute and the ARA designation from American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.
Appraisers added to the DNR List of Approved Appraisers will be under consideration for both original appraisal assignments and for review appraisal assignments.
We are looking for appraisers with qualifications in one or more of the following areas:
- Undeveloped rural property;
- Agricultural property and grazing land;
- Aquatic lands (i.e., submerged and tidal lands);
- Conservation easements;
- Forestland valuation and timber cruising;
- Mineral rights valuation;
- Right of way valuation;
- Urban commercial, industrial, and residential valuation;
- Standards of the Uniform Appraisal Standards for Federal Land Acquisition (UASFLA or “Yellow Book”).

Entry-level Trainee seeking Supervising Appraiser
I am a motivated and determined individual in pursuit of my State Certified Residential Appraiser license. I am currently working toward my Assistant Appraiser title and expect to have all coursework completed by April 24, 2017. My bachelor’s degree is a dual focus in Business Supply and Logistics and Business Information Systems Management from Portland State University. I have professional experience working with Fred Meyer as an Assistant (financial) Planner. I am a self starter, organized and very experienced with online research and various computer programs. I have a great sense of humor, I am caring, I am assertive and I tend to be introverted.
