Government Relations
The Appraisal Institute and the Greater Oregon Chapter are your voice in government. A portion of membership dues is allocated to lobbying, both nationally and in Oregon. GOCAI works with the Oregon Appraisal Certification Licensure Board (ACLB) to represent member's interests, enhance the Appraisal Institute's image and to promote uniformity of state laws and regulations. During the legislative session, copies of bills can be obtained from GOCAI. A "legislative day" is held during the legislative year for the benefit of members, which provides valuable information as well as a chance for members to voice their opinions to legislators.
